Grayson, a “Family friendly historic community” is located in Gwinnett County between Lawrenceville and Snellville this small town is 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Grayson, was founded in 1882 and was originally known as “Grayson Station” it was named after the Grayson family, who were on of the first settlers in the area. The city was incorporated in 1887 and has grown to a population of over 3,000 people. Every year the community comes together to celebrate the City at its “Grayson Day Festival” on the last Saturday of April. The celebration features a parade on Main street along with food vendors, crafts, and live music. Along with the parade the celebration features the youth football team, marching band and cheerleaders from the local high school. This small city is involving and growing into a sophisticated and professional city.
